Michael W. Cresswell

Michael W. Cresswell is a physicist in the Enabling Devices and ICs Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Semiconductor Electronics Division. He has a Ph.D. in Physics from the Pennsylvania State University and a MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He spent 25 years working in bipolar power-devices, flat panel displays, and IC-process development. At the National Institute of Standards and Technology he is developing reference materials for nanometer-level metrology for submicrometer feature placement, linewidth, and overlay. He holds twenty-five patents in the field of semiconductor-fabrication technology.

Dr. Cresswell is a member of the American Physical Society and a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
